Good Singing-Entertainment and a Good Laugh
In early 2008 the Harmonisers announced that they would hold a quartet competition in the November. When we heard this, we four lads decided to have a go. We started rehearsing in the May of that year. We decided to go right back to basics to really learn the art of barbershop quartet singing, and to combine it with entertainment and comedy. After a few weeks we realized that we needed to have a name, and as we all live in Quesada, well, it didn't take too much imagination, and so Q4 was born. After many months of hard work, and a lot of laughs, we entered the competition, and to our delight (and amazement) we won! As a result, a few short weeks later we rather nervously found ourselves singing in front of a huge audience at the Rojales “Teatro Capitol”.
Again we
plumped for comedy - along with good singing, of
course. As luck would have it, it seemed to go
rather well with the audience, and so we
continued to work hard and develop new songs and new
comedy routines. In March of 2009 we found ourselves
once again at Rojales, for the Side By Side show,
followed the very next day with an appearance at “Torrevieja's
Gala Charity Show” at the “Municipal Theatre”.
Again, both these events proved very successful for
us.We cannot believe what has happened to us in such
a short time, and we are determined to press on with
our ambitions, which are to sing well and above all
to Entertain with a capital E.
