THE HARMONISERS HELP ORPHANS IN INDIA

Mic in India

Mike Treanor,a long standing member of
"The Harmonisers" recently paid a visit together with his son Chris to two orphanages (one for girls and one for boys) in North Goa, India.

Both orphanages are part of "The Lighthouse Organisation"

This was not the first time Mike has done this trip to take sweets pencils and toys etc. for the children there.
This time however he took with him 400 (25,660 rupees) donated by "The Harmonisers"

The money was gratefully received by  Graham and Trish who run both the orphanages.
It may not sound a lot of money but it will go a very long way to make life a little better for these unfortunate kids "The Harmonisers" were delighted that they were able to help. To Date "The Harmonisers" have raised over 17,000 for various charities.

Brigitta Rozenkranz ( Health & Tourism) and Sylvia Pizarro ( Culture & Education) TBH Caritas400 euros was generated as a  result of a raffle  held by 'The Harmonisers' at their annual Pig Roast held in the Recorral Park earlier in the year and 300e of this was to pay for the package to Caritas ,the remainder went to the purchase of books needed by children for their education at school whose families could not otherwise  afford  them. Vice Chairman of 'The Harmonisers', Tony Wagstaff "stated that all the members love to sing and entertain, and to be able to help other people like this who are not so fortunate 'is the icing on the cake'." Our Thanks go to The Ayuntamiento of Rojales, in Particular Sylvia Pizarro for the help we get in the organisation of these events. The next big one is our annual show " *Sinfonia Of Song*"* *in the Teatro Capitol in Rojales on the 27th November.Because of the financial situation at the moment we have decide to reduce the entrance fee this year to 5 euros so more people can come and enjoy what will be a great show.
